Engineering Development Scheme Outline

A development framework that allows all Acergy engineers to actively manage their professional, personal and career development. The scheme is for all engineers within the regional teams from entry level up to Technical Director.

The scheme is built around three critical components:

  • A capability framework that provides guidance on the skills, experiences and knowledge required for the different engineering roles
  • Engineering manager support, to discuss peoples current and future roles
  • Development guidelines to help people find the best ways to address gaps in their skills set

The capability framework establishes the critical skills required for the various engineering career paths, such as Project route, Technical specialist route, Field route, Management route. The three core skill areas are Technical and Functional, Personal and Business.
