Trusting our expertise At a corporate level and through our involvement in projects, the Legal and contracts function plays a key role in Acergy - as an integral part of our regions and project teams. Legal professionals are involved in all aspects of project work - from the pre-bid stage, through tendering to award, execution and warranty. Clearly, the contractual aspect of our work is vital in putting projects into action, but we also provide advice and support as necessary. Critically, we work alongside professionals in other functions and also liaise directly with clients and suppliers. Our corporate work includes the legal structuring of the various entities that comprise the group worldwide, along with key contributions during the purchase or sale of businesses, the provision of major assets and the formation of strategic alliances with other companies. Typically, we will be involved in drawing up and agreeing contracts, offering general legal advice, and if necessary representing Acergy during litigation. A final aspect of our work which should not be overlooked is the negotiation and placing of insurance cover - for employees, assets and property worldwide. | Links |
