Marine assets Wherever we operate offshore – from seabed-to-surface – Marine Assets make sure we have the right vessels (including heavy construction, remote intervention, flexible pipe lay, IRM and dive support vessels) the right equipment (everything from winches and tensioners to piling spreads and ROVs) and the best people to meet the challenges we face in some of the harshest operating conditions imaginable. This is a truly global function, operating out of support bases across all of our regions. Marine Assets people come predominantly from Marine or Engineering disciplines and share a set of common objectives – to provide services to our operations and projects safely, efficiently and effectively. Offshore operations Offshore operations employs over 2,500 marine and construction personnel on the construction phase of projects around the world. These include people from all nationalities, with a range of relevant skills – from riggers, crane drivers and welders through to divers, ROV pilots and team leaders. We also employ experienced offshore managers – individuals with highly developed problem solving skills, who on our larger vessels, manage a workforce of up to 400 people.
