The SCV-3000 ROV system is a deep water vehicle, with 3000 m depth capability developed by Acergy. The SCV-3000 meets the growing demand for 4th generation ROV functionality but is configurable to user requirements in order to give enhanced performance and cost benefits. The SCV-3000 is a powerful high thrust vehicle propelled by 7 Curvetech thrusters producing 720kg of vectored thrust and driven by single or dual 100 SHP electro hydraulic power pack. The modular vehicle frame is designed and tested for 5000 kg through frame capability at 3 g enabling it to handle significantly large items in marginal conditions. The SCV-3000 vehicle incorporates a comprehensive range of integral functions developed by Acergy. They are compatible with many industry peripherals and telemetry standards and support a broad range of proprietary sensors, actuators, survey and tooling equipment required to undertake construction, drill rig support and survey. Detailed ergonomic design coupled with modular expansion has shaped the layout of the control cabin and console and enhanced the overall ROV functionality. The benefits include easy access to rack mounted systems control console comprising, ROV control, video processing, navigation, power distribution, peripheral sensor and actuator controls such as the 5 and 7 function manipulators and intervention tooling. The SCV3000 has a ‘Top Hat’ TMS as standard to extend its weather threshold and is launched by a 4.5 m reach LARS ‘A’ frame launch and recovery system.
