SCV 3000

Work Class ROV

The name 'SCV' reflects the importance attached to obtaining a standard or 'core' ROV system within Acergy, which meets the requirements of both internal and external customers alike. Having a standard ROV within Acergy gives enormous benefits in areas such as component and system commonality, personnel familiarisation, reduced logistical support requirements and ease of global technical support.

The SCV 3000 1A work class ROV system is a development of the successful SCV 3000 100 ROV used by Acergy since 1997. While the basic vehicle specification is largely identical to its forerunner, improvements have been made to increase reliability, improve maintainability and improve payload capacity. All technical changes have been managed carefully such that the benefits of a 'core' system philosophy have been maintained

The ROV is a powerful high thrust vehicle propelled by Curvetech thrusters producing 720 kgs of vectored thrust driven by a 100SHP (150SHP optional) electro-hydraulic power pack.

The vehicle incorporates a comprehensive range of integral functions developed by Acergy. They are compatible with many industry peripherals and telemetry standards and support a broad range of proprietary sensors, actuators, survey and tooling equipment required to undertake construction, drill rig support and survey operations.

The standard SCV system spread comprises of the vehicle, control and workshop containers, a 'top hat' style tether management system with 520 m of tether for long excursions, an A frame launch and recovery system and a 12 tonne SWL winch for deepwater operations.

The SCV 3000 1A is a powerful, versatile and cost effective 4th generation ROV work system.
