ATP Tors
The Tors fields are being developed through two Minimal Facilities Platforms (MFPs) at Kilmar and Garrow, tied back to a gas compression complex at the existing Trent Platform. Acergy were responsible for installing and tying in the inter-field flowline system which comprised of a 22km, 8”/3” piggy-backed production line from Garrow to Kilmar and a 21km, 12”/3” piggy-backed production line from Kilmar to Trent.
To provide our client with an optimal installation solution, Acergy designed, built and installed a second firing line onboard the Acergy Falcon. This allowed the service lines to be laid concurrently with the production lines and resulted in a significant reduction in installation time for the pipeline system.
This new firing line, combined with careful planning and technical expertise, saw the successful completion of the project on time and on budget, much to the client’s satisfaction.
