Audun Indrehus

Audun joined Acergy in July 2005 and since then he has worked on projects both onshore and offshore including Erha in West Africa, Norne Satellites, Vigdis, Heirdun, Tordis and Visund for Statoil in the North Sea. ‘My role within these projects has been to put in place procedures in order to secure safe and effective operation when we go offshore to perform the tasks.’

GEDS

‘At first I was a bit doubtful as to what I could get out of the GEDS, but I was caught by surprise and was impressed by the depth and the range of subjects within the subsea industry as well as the multinational mix of graduates on the scheme. At the first training module in London I knew that I had chosen the right company.’

Memory

‘As I had already had a summer job within Acergy the year before I started, I was sent offshore straight away when I joined. The trip was for four weeks completing a riser installation and some large structure installations onboard the Acergy Eagle. Except for being a bit seasick while the weather was rough, it was a very good and exciting experience.’

Tip for fellow graduates

‘Project work within Acergy will give you the opportunity to take on responsibility at an early stage in your career. It is up to you to make the most of it.’
