Beachfield Upstream Dev Project

As contractor on this project, our goal was to provide gas flow from the BPTT Cassia field to a new processing plant in Trinidad. Potential congestion problems around the platform had not been spotted by the client, which we remedied by a change in pipelay method to two phases with midline tie-in. Our Lay Barge 801 had to be upgraded during the operation to be able to successfully lay the NGC 36” line. With pipelay now nearing completion, the project is on schedule for tie-ins and pre-commissioning in the spring of 2006.
