Brazil

Acergy has been a pioneer in developing locally based subsea services, deepwater saturation diving, and Remotely Operated Vehicles operations through extensive training and qualification programs, based on the group worldwide technology, safety and quality standards.

Today Acergy employs over 200 diving and ROV technicians and operates regularly in record water depths: 320 m saturation diving intervention and 3000 m ROV drill support and subsea construction intervention.

Acergy has always been active in subsea engineering and construction, operating construction ships for Petrobras on long term contracts. Since 1996, the company has also developed local flexible pipe laying services capabilities. The company operates two ships on long term contracts for Petrobras: the Acergy Condor, carrying out flexible line bundle laying down to 2000 mts as well as ROV operations, and the Acergy Harrier, carrying out saturation diving intervention and diverless construction down to 3000 m water depth. In addition Acergy has recently been awarded a further contract from Petrobras that will see the introduction of the newly converted Pertinacia to the region.

Besides its commercial office in Rio de Janeiro, the company has a complete operational base in Macaé, with over 80 technicians and onshore staff, in order to offer qualified support to operations in the Campos Basin.

Acergy has a long track record of successful operations in South America, which coupled with the experience, technologies and expertise throught the rest of the Acergy group enables the company in South America to offer a wide range of subsea engineering and intervention capability for subsea field development, rigid and flexible flowline lay and subsea construction activities.
