Burullus Scarab-Saffron West Delta

This highly complex project called for 8 connected subsea wells to be tied-back to the shore at depths of up to 95 metres. The field is entirely controlled from shore through electro-hydraulic umbilicals and subsea distribution assemblies, plus a glycol line, all provided and installed by Acergy. We were also responsible for the landfall of the export pipelines, plus detailed design and fabrication of PLETS and PLEM, along with pipeline installation and many other items.

The immense complexity of the project guaranteed major logistical challenges, as did the many nationalities involved. The wide variety of installation operations saw as many as 8 offshore vessels involved at any one time, including the Acergy Piper, the Acergy Falcon and the Acergy Legend. Despite the many conflicting factors involved the project reached successful completion.
