Acergy’s vision is to be the acknowledged leader in seabed to surface engineering and construction. Delivering this vision, in a competitive marketplace, where our clients’ needs change almost every day as they move into new territories and call on new technologies, is what Business Development in Acergy is really all about.

Our Business Development team, comprising over 100 people worldwide, works on the principle that every action we take has the potential to add value for our clients and our business. This principle underlies an approach that stresses the need to partner with clients and provide continuous support throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Relationship building is key to this approach. We work closely with our clients to build up a detailed understanding of their needs. We use this understanding, and the trust it fosters, to provide pertinent, client-driven solutions. In addition to the central importance of the client relationship, we also emphasise opportunity identification, strategy and solution development, service and technical excellence along with continuous learning and improvements. Why? Because experience teaches us that if we get these elements right, we will deliver customer satisfaction – the basis for enduring relationships, increased business and added value.

Business Development is a multi-disciplinary function, with professionals filling many different roles from business leader, country manager, and account manager to marketing manager, business analyst and communication specialist.
