Striving to be profitable

Accountants and auditors, tax experts and treasurers, compliance specialists, consolidation managers and project controllers – almost 200 people, many of them experienced and highly qualified professionals, work in Finance for Acergy.

They fulfil many different roles, but share common policies, processes and systems, many of which are accessible on our intranet, to connect this vital function across all areas of our operations – even on board our ships.

As the range of job titles suggests, finance professionals are involved in everything we do –costing projects, managing our tax obligations and critically, driving our quarterly and annual financial reporting projects, which are filed under US GAAP rules. This is a major challenge for a global business like ours. We report to shareholders in a number of different currencies, while our shares are traded on NASDAQ and the Oslo stock exchange.

Our training and development programmes are structured with mobility in mind – helping us to build a team of highly mobile finance professionals with the expertise and ambitions to tackle a range of assignments in different locations worldwide as needed.
