What is the Graduate Engineering Development Scheme (GEDS)
The GEDS is a two year programme that aims to increase the technical and behavioural competence of Acergy engineers, and the understanding of Acergy’s engineering and project processes. This will enable them to work effectively in a project environment.
The GEDS comprises four main elements:
Off-the-job training courses
A series of training sessions on technical and non-technical subjects, delivered by Acergy experts
On-the-job development
Work placements where participants will be allocated a specific project, discipline or functional position
Mentoring
A Mentor to provide advice and guidance on participants career development within Acergy
Personal development
A series of tools to support participants in planning their learning and development

Duration of GEDS
All participants should complete the scheme over a two year period with all off-the-job training conducted in the first year of the scheme. Upon joining you will have a GEDS induction which will provide you with all the necessary information about the scheme as well as defining clearly the expectations Acergy has of you.
