Greater Plutonio

The BP Greater Plutonio project in Angola Block 18, is the largest project that Acergy has executed to date. Located in a water depth of between 1200 and 1500 metres, this ambitious SURF project involved the design, construction and installation of an innovative 1200m long Hyperflow® Riser Tower as well as the construction and installation of an extensive subsea production facility.

The project required 1,650 construction vessel days, involving key assets such as the Acergy Polaris, Acergy Eagle and the Acergy Legend. Some 37,000 tonnes of steel pipelines and materials were installed on the seabed. In total, 7.3 million Acergy man-hours were spent on the project involving over 560 onshore and 1300 offshore personnel.
