Gregory Germain, Engineering

Gregory joined Acergy in 1998 after completing his MsC in Offshore Engineering. After working on a variety of challenging projects, his latest posting is as Lead Engineer in charge of the Riser Tower, Flexible and Umbilicals on the BP Greater Plutonio Project off Angola.

“With tight project delivery timescales and suppliers in different countries, logistics can be challenging. Structures being fabricated in Norway were needed in Korea right away. When things started to fall behind schedule I flew to the Norwegian yard and helped figure out a solution to get things back on track.

Acergy gives me the chance to combine my three main interests – travel, engineering and problem solving. I love working with such a diverse range of people and cultures on a highly-focused international project team.”
