Gulfstream

This project called for the installation of a gas transmission system from onshore processing facilities in Mississippi and Alabama to market in Florida. The pipeline route runs both on and offshore – and at 460 miles the offshore portion is the longest subsea pipeline in the region. At one point over 75 vessels and some 1400 seaborne personnel were working on the project. Prior to this project no one had ever successfully pigged, tested and dried a line of this length. Despite major technological and environmental challenges to overcome the project was completed and delivered 48 hours ahead of schedule – after 14 months in the field.
