Our business priorities may change over time, but the health, safety and security of our people and the protection of the environment, are both core values for Acergy and absolutely fundamental to the way we do business.
While line managers and project management teams take responsibility for the management and implementation of our HSEQ policies, standards and procedures, everyone who works for Acergy, no matter what their role, is expected to demonstrate personal leadership in HSEQ matters.
Our HSEQ function plays a key supporting role to all employees. We develop the policies and standards for others to follow; we provide focused advice and support to line managers, helping them to integrate HSEQ management into their wider responsibilities.
Our HSEQ professionals draw on a broad range of skills – combining engineering and operational expertise with the so-called ‘softer skills’ such as people management, leadership and behavioural change. They join us from a range of backgrounds although many have relevant HSEQ qualifications. They work wherever our projects take us – including on board our vessels.
