Ladybug Subsea Development

This demanding project called for the tie-back of two subsea wells in the Gulf of Mexico to the Tick platform. The scope of work included the installation of two flowlines and an umbilical plus associated items. At the time of commissioning Ladybug was the longest tie-back in the region, with the water depth at the Tick platform (900 feet) traditionally requiring extensive saturation diving services. In order to avoid this arduous requirement, Acergy designed and deployed the first ever modified SCRIs. This successful innovation was a major factor in completing the project on schedule and to the satisfaction of the client.
