Matthew Kirk, Remote Operations
Matthew Kirk is Remote Operations Manager and is based in Aberdeen, Scotland. Acergy Remote Operations (ARO) are responsible for the operational performance of all ROV systems and tooling. In addition to the development of new ROV assets, ARO also ensure that engineering best practice, in relation to remote intervention, is applied to projects across the group.
He has seen his career flourish since joining Acergy in 1998. Matt enrolled on the first ever Engineering Graduate Training Programme and since then he has worked in Norway, Argentina, Baku, Iran, Denmark, Russia, France, the USA and is now based in Aberdeen. Aside from this extensive travel, his career has also developed with the help of programmes including the LDP, but his experience as a Field Engineer remains the most influential factor.
