Projects are our business
This is one of our corporate values – and there really is no more succinct way to sum up the fundamental importance that project management plays throughout Acergy.
Our project managers deliver projects – from start to finish. It’s as simple as that; although the challenges involved in doing so can be enormously complex and testing. For a start, our project portfolio is extremely diverse, ranging from the inspection and routine maintenance of our clients’ subsea assets through to the installation of new trunklines, pipelines, control umbilicals, risers and subsea structures. Add to this the fact that many of our projects take us into deepwater environments, where harsh, extreme conditions are an everyday reality – and you begin to get some idea of the huge responsibilities our project managers carry.
They are also team leaders – responsible for establishing and maintaining effective processes and standards, while also promoting team morale and encouraging team members to perform to their full potential.
Project management requires a unique set of skills, but for people who have the necessary expertise, experience and energy the rewards are tangible – a fast pace environment, an international career path, the satisfaction of delivering major commercial projects for clients.
