Renato Bastos, Technical
Renato Bastos joined Acergy in Brazil as a Commercial Engineer in 2001. He then moved to Paris as Operations Manager of the pipelay ship Acergy Falcon. More recently Renato has moved back to Brazil as Technical Director for Acergy South America.
“Every day is different – always challenging, sometimes frustrating, often rewarding. My best moment recently was receiving a message from the ship that said ‘pipe head on target box.’ Now that might not mean a lot to you – but to me it meant the safe and successful culmination of a highly intensive offshore season, with the many technical and operational challenges of multiple fast-track projects.”
