Sakhalin 1
This project is an oil and gas development on the northeast continental shelf off Sakhalin Island. The project area comprises three fields with combined reserves of over 2.3 billion barrels of oil and 485 billion cubic metres of natural gas. Our task, subcontracting to Nippon Steel Corporation, was to install a cathodic protection cable around the gravity-based Orlan platform and to carry out hyperbaric welding tie-ins for its 24” and 36” pipelines.
