Starling Subsea Facilities

The Starling field is located in block 29/3a of the Central North Sea approximately 215 km East of Aberdeen. Shell are developing the field using a single drill centre consisting of gas and condensate production wells and a manifold that will be tied back to the Shearwater platform using a single production flowline and an umbilical.

Acergy UK were awarded a contract by Shell in May 2006 to design, supply and install the manifold, rigid tie in spools and a rigid riser at Shearwater A platform. Acergy will also install, trench and protect a free issue steel tubed control umbilical from Shearwater C platform to the manifold. All system testing and pre-commissioning is included in the workscope.
